  • Mar. 2nd, 2008 at 7:26 PM
Minna-san!

Am planning to get magazines for April - Myojo and Popolo - because my beloved Arashi is featured on them ^.^ Yes, Arashi and other MECHA KAKKOI and SUGOI JE IDOLS - MECHA MECHA SUTEKI NE! ^.~

Check out the sites/scans I've just stumbled upon and see how good April will be for us JE fans:

Myojo April 2008

The April issue features Arashi, Hey!Say!JUMP, KAT-TUN, NEWS, Kimura Takuya, Tackey and Tsubasa, KinKi Kids and more! PLUS, they've got Hey!Say!JUMP Calendar included in the issue!

Popolo April - it's got a lot of Arashi goodness! Tenjo Style and Arashi Princess have been more than happy to share the scans ^.^

I might also get March issues of Potato, Popolo, Wink UP and Duet. You can check on this link for the scans courtesy of pocco_moco

Anyone in the Philippines who also wants to have a copy of any of these magazines - leave a message here or send me a note at lifeisabusride@yahoo.com - am thinking of having issues shipped in bulk, that's if I can get enough requests ^.^

watched I am Legend... now I am Depressed.

  • Jan. 12th, 2008 at 10:54 PM
I found myself looking for something I could laugh about after watching I Am Legend. Because it sure made me feel like all the happiness in the world was gone. I needed chocolate badly.

But this is surely not to say the movie was bad. Because, on the contrary, it was very, very beautifully done. A most effective thriller - for at least three times I found myself literally at the edge of my seat and freaking out! I was saying "What's he gonna do? What's he gonna do?" like a mantra. And the musical scoring only intensified the mood a gazillion times more - I was depressed and so afraid at the same time.

The survival theme of the story kinda reminded me of Tom Hanks' Castaway. But this time, it's not just being alone and fighting for survival on an island - it's about being potentially alone on earth, with Resident Evil zombies to fight along the way (wouldn't be surprised if they make a computer game out of this). Definitely one of the best action-packed suspense thriller I've seen. And also the saddest.

Now on with that chocolate....

I'd like to think that my man is just out there somewhere.

I like imagining a family of my own--living life with the most amazing husband, the most adorable kids and the cutest pet retriever in a cozy house within the suburbs.

I love the thought of becoming a working mom. rushing home from work every day, always looking forward to spending time with my kids, helping them with their homework or just listening to them as they fill me in on their adventures for the day.

I am thrilled by the idea of reaching 64 and still enjoying holding hands with the love of my life.

Yes, I'm just like most single women you know these days. We do think of these things every now and then, even if we sure as hell don't want to admit it half the time.

long live the storm!

Eight years ago, Johnny's decided to create a group with a mission written across their name to fulfill - to conquer the Japanese entertainment world by storm.

True enough, the group soared to heights only a few Japanese, or even Asian, artists reached. Eight years after, Arashi is an international sensation, gaining a fandom that extends outside Asia, respected both by generations before and after them, and exuding the truest sense of being an idol.

Being all these, yet keeping their feet firmly on the ground. And that's what endears them to their fans even more.

And so to the five colors of the high winds - Ninomiya Kazunari, Sakurai Sho, Aiba Masaki, Matsumoto Jun, and Ohno Satoshi - HAPPY HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY!!! ^.^

giving in to the ohno indulgence

Here's another fancam shot at a different angle on Oh-chan's Song For Me concert performance, credits to ailamarie07 for posting on YouTube ^.^

I've watched this and the other fancam version I downloaded thousands of times already. And I was flailing 100% of the time it was almost like hyperventilating and suffering seizure at the same time T_T

Oh-chan SAIKOU! His moves are so fluid and so original - I heard he was the one who actually choreographed this. And I must say it's dancing in one of its higher forms (naks!). The pattern is kind of irregular - not the usual 5-6-7-8 dance where the sequence follows a structured, repeating step pattern after the 4th or 8th beat. I dunno if any of you watched Dance With Me starring Vanessa Williams and Cheyenne. In this film, Cheyenne's character, Rafael, has a natural gift for dancing. As opposed to Vanessa's character who follows a structured approach to dancing (the plot revolves around a Latin dance competition, by the way), Rafael dances with his heart, translating every beat into a movement - and the effect is a dance that is more passionate and fluid.

Ohno's just like Rafael when he does his solo. And it's....*remembers TOP SECRET* it's....*remembers RAIN* ...... MECHA MECHA SUGOI DA YO NE >.< *dies, goes to heaven and back* EEEEE! *flails yet again*

my TIME at last!

  • Sep. 16th, 2007 at 9:50 PM
Am currently in absolute bliss. My copy of TIME has finally arrived ^.^

It came in the office yesterday. And while most of us there were busy checking out and taking pictures of each other's "head gear" ('twas a "Head Gear Friday"), my officemate / fellow fangirl Julie and I were caught in our own world opening the package, squealing half the time with so much delight it was painful trying not to scream >.<

Julie got her copy of Iza Now DVD, too. I saw the photo booklet included in it and FLAILED over Oh-chan's kakkoi photos there! As for Julie, she texted me earlier about how she didn't have enough sleep last night because of watching Iza Now until wee hours of the morning. Julie's a die-hard Sho fan, but now she said she's falling in love with all of them. I don't blame her. Arashi is PURE LOVE.

emoting BIG time over MMA

I dunno if it’s ‘coz of the fact that I just had my period. But the latest Mago Mago Arashi actually had me crying!!! Thanks to [info]adfirmatiosg, and also [info]tipsytoe and [info]angelamori, for sharing them with us *hugs you all*

I cried at obaachan and ojichan’s perfectly sweet wedding celebration.

I cried at the flowers and cake that our formidable duo Matsuno prepared for the occasion.

I cried at the sexy arms of Ohno (Hey Sho-kun – your friends are catching up on you! Not that I’m complaining of course ^.^).

Even Nino’s crying – he must be really upset about Ohno dumping him over Matsujun hahah >.<

Overall, this is another must-see MMA episode. It’s 100% LOVE.

[Honki modo] Honestly, it really amazes me how our boys can find ways to touch other people’s lives. Ojiichan and obaachan reminded me so much of my own grandparents. They’re so real and so affectionate with each other – that “shinu made” phrase (until death) that obaachan said when she made her vows – dunno if it was really a standard line or she was the one who added it... it evoked too much emotion that’s already building up from the start of this episode, I was crying a gazillion tears afterward T_T

And they thanked Oh-chan and Matsujun several times! I just couldn’t help but feel so proud of our Arashi.

And Ohno - why are you also good at flower arranging? Isn't there anything you're not good at? You even polished the table so flawlessly. So... how about YOU marry ME ^.^

P.S. I found this link where you can read Japanese wedding vows and their translations. Was really curious about the vows obaachan and ojichan made ^.^

Not my day today.

  • Aug. 28th, 2007 at 11:33 PM
After two consecutive long weekends, I've got loads to catch up with at work.

I spent an hour fixing my hair this morning, yet I still had a bad hair day.

Left the office after nearly 12 hours  T_T

Was hoping a quick visit at McDo for my fave Twister Fries would patch things up a bit.....

But heck NO! McDo just PHASED OUT MY TWISTER FRIES!!!

WHAT THE FRIGGIN' HECK %$&^&^#@#???!!!

Ohno ate my brain!

This is FUN!!!

No wonder I think of Ohno when I wake up in the morning and before going to bed -- Ohno ate my brain! ^.^

tiramisuaddict's brain

Nino-kun comes next at 16%. I see Ohno's name again at 9% but I'm not so sure what it means. The rest are complicated kanjis. Dang, I only mastered hiragana, still having a hard time reading katakana, and I only know basic kanji (like east, west, the numbers and other uber simple kanji characters). If there's anyone out there who can interpret the rest for me I'd be mighty glad, so please do :)

Thanks, Rion@Vox, for this. Minna, visit this link and enter your name there to have your brain diagnosed as well ^.^
